After 10 years as a professional photographer, my magic skill is creating an artful collection of connected yet semi-candid portraits for families that want to remember the beauty amidst the chaos of family life.

Family sessions combine my expert, playful posing skills with magical use of light to create images of your family that you will adore for years to come. The kids will have a great time playing and chatting and getting plenty of time to run around and have fun. I include a mix of posed portraits and lots of opportunity for connected candids. I take the time to focus on each child individually for their portraits, and capture all the different grouping combos you desire.

Every single one of my packages include ALL the final edited digital files from your session. I want you to be able to share and print whatever you need.
If you want more custom art like Museum Canvases, Heirloom Albums, or Fine Art Prints, I offer those too.
Honestly, I book family sessions all year long, because sometimes you just make it work when everyone is in town! But if you want the VERY BEST, spring and fall in Idaho are the prime photography time. The weather is great, and the scenery is beautiful.
One little known fact is that despite fall being the common time for family sessions, SPRING (like May and June) in Idaho is actually the time when you’ll get the most incredible landscape and scenery. The land is still green and lush, before summer dries it out.
If you do want a fall date, I recommend booking about 4-5 month ahead, I do tend to book VERY full in the fall.
I want every family to have the chance to experience a professional photography session. It is such an amazing experience. My goal is to make you FEEL the connection and magic of family, and have memories you can keep forever.
If you can and have that desire, I will always say go for it! But it’s not a necessity.
If you do your own hair and makeup, remember that nude lipstick will make you look like you have no lips, so select a color that will show. For all your makeup, apply it a little heavier than you would for daily use, so it will show up better in camera. Hair is almost always best when left down and loose. Even for kids!
I probably get asked this question the most! I think neutral/muted colors look amazing!

All of my outdoor portrait sessions take place about an hour before sunset. This varies based on the time of year, and the location! I can also do sunrise sessions if you’re not a morning person (or if your little kids are super early risers!)
I know staying up late can be hard for little kids, but I promise the lighting is 100% worth the effort.
If you want family pictures outside of the Treasure Valley, Idaho area - I absolutely travel. I am often in Utah, so I can sometimes accomadate without an extra travel fee.
Travel is something I love to do, so I always eat up some of the travel costs in my package pricing. If you have a location in mind that you want a family session at, reach out and I can create a custom quote for you based on your location.
